f6 diaries

Life is filled with surprises and delights. Every day we have an opportunity to do exactly what we want to do. We always have a choice. We get to create what we want to do, be or have. We get to say ‘yes’ to what we want, and we get to say ‘No’ to what we don’t want. We get to appreciate possibilities and opportunities. We get to focus on where we want to go, where we are going, what we want to do, what we want to be, what we want to have! We get to be in charge of our direction. We can be disciplined if we want! We can be organized. We get to experience what we want! We get to speak up for ourselves. We get to meet new people. We get to say yes to jobs. We get to see the beauty and the opportunity…

As a result, movements around the world are being formed to address these crimes. While many who were previously unaware of these programs are now taking action, the question now that is often asked is “Why” is this happening. Michael J. Murphy, Originator and Co-Producer of “What in the World are They Spraying?” in association with Barry Kolsky have produced “Why in the World are They Spraying?” which will answer that question.

“Why in the World are They Spraying?” is an investigative documentary into one of the many agendas associated with chemtrail/geoengineering programs, “weather control”.

‘Pollen Vortex’ hits Central Virginia

[ooyala code=”k3c20zbTr-VWMPTMdDnfNwns1GN6owMt” player_id=”6c21d43b06ee4460a29e40d9542c86ae”]RICHMOND, VA (WTVR) — If you have been experiencing itchy eyes, runny nose, and sneezing – you are not alone.

Allergy season is upon Central Virginia and experts say it may be the worst in years.

Some are even calling it the “Pollen Vortex” as a play on words to the phrase “Polar Vortex” from this past winter.

But the two phrases may be linked as some allergists attribute bad allergies to the long winter, which delayed trees that were supposed to bloom weeks ago from blossoming.

Now, those trees are blooming along with other plants that always bloom in Mid April.

On Monday, Richmond’s allergy rating measured a 11.3, that was one of the most severe on the East Coast. For perspective, allergy ratings only go up 12.

“It is going to get worse before it gets better,” Dr. Ananth Thyagarajan, an allergist tells CBS 6.

Study Suggests Naps Could Be Hazardous To Your Health

CBS New York

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A lot of us take a nap during the day and feel better afterward, but could those naps be bad – or even kill us?

As CBS 2’s Dr. Max Gomez reported, a new study in the American Journal of Epidemiology said regular daytime napping may actually be detrimental to your health.

Back in the good old days, we were all supposed to nap. Toddlers didn’t always like it, but parents loved the break.

But once those toddlers grow to become high school and college students, naps are likely to become their favorite pastime. And that often goes for full-grown adults too.

“I love them,” said Hilaire Dolfeyn. “I’ve just had a nap in Central Park.”

“I think it’s great – it’s very refreshing, as long as it’s not too long,” said Zoya Kocur.

And even sleep experts agree that naps are probably good for you.

Father Running Boston Marathon With Four Daughters

CBS Boston

HINGHAM (CBS) – For 71-year-old Joe D’Arrigo the Boston Marathon is a family legacy. “It’s family, it’s tradition and we will not be intimidated. We’ve been going to the marathon with my children for 37 years,” D’Arrigo said wearing his new marathon jacket in Hingham with his four daughters.

For Joe’s 70th birthday last year his dream was to have all four of his daughters cross the finish line together. “As we were approaching we were excited to finish together,” daughter Kerri Roberts said. When they got to mile 25 the bombs exploded and their dream came to an end.

This year all four of Joe’s daughters are back and ready to finish what they started. “For us standing on Mass Ave. last year we knew we were going to do it. There’s was no question about it. For us it’s family,” D’Arrigo said.

All four of Joe’s faithful bodyguards…

Women who took birth control pills for more than 3 years double the risk of glaucoma

Fellowship of the Minds

Birth control pills work by suppressing ovulation.

That is powerful stuff.

So why do we persist in thinking that a pill this powerful has no side effects?

birth control pill1

Emma Innes reports for the Daily Mail, Nov. 18, 2013, that a new study found that women who take oral contraceptives of whatever kind for more than three years have double the risk (2.05 times) of glaucoma, an eye condition that can lead to blindness.

Glaucoma occurs when the drainage tubes within the eyes become blocked, preventing fluid from draining properly and causing pressure to build up, damaging the optic nerve and nerves from the retina. The eye damage caused by glaucoma cannot be reversed but prompt treatment can halt the progression of the disease, which is why early diagnosis is important. The condition can be treated with eye drops, laser treatment or surgery.

The new study, conducted by researchers at the University…

INDEPENDENCE, Mo. — Metro high school students want to feed everyone in need in eastern Jackson County for three days.

So on Saturday, they set up at the Hy-Vee in Independence. The students were up with the early birds this morning with one goal in mind.

“They’ve been working on this project for weeks,” said Doug Cowan of the Community Services League.

It’s actually a huge goal.

“We’ve been working with our schools and churches and local organizations trying to get some donations to help our goal,” Britany Copack, a student at Fort Osage High School.

In 12 hours the Youth Advisory Councils from 14 local high schools want to collect 10,000 non-perishable food items, which is enough to feed the hungry in Jackson County for three days.

“It’s called Global Youth Service Day and we participate every year,” said Amanda Knight, a student at Truman High…

CBS Philly

By Michelle Durham

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — A local marriage and family therapist is hosting a six week seminar.

“Single and Searching” is designed to provide women with the support they need while they continue their quest to find the perfect partner.

Marriage and Family Therapist Pella Weisman says women need all the support they can get.

“It can take years of sorting through lots of potential partners, lots of dates to be able to find someone who is a really good match.”

Weisman says it’s important that women approach finding that partner the way they prepare for every other aspect of their lives, plan and make a selection according to your priorities.

“You really have to get clear on what those are and you have to have people in your life who will hold you to it and make sure that you don’t end up dating somebody who really is…

Music lovers are entertained by an eclectic collection of streaming tunes highlighting the city’s unique music culture and local artists. A comprehensive Event Listings feature is perfect for both locals and tourists in search of a perfect destination, be it the latest after-hours hotpots or a cultural landmark. Big congrats go out to SINGLE PARENTS HELPING SINGLE PARENTS Magazine for some moves well played and a wholly engaging, exceptional app. As to the hows, whys, and whats of publishing a mobile app? SINGLE PARENTS HELPING SINGLE PARENTS Magazine founder, Daniel Leach, explains. First and foremost, how has going mobile helped your business? “The mobile platform has simplified the logistics of content delivery. Going mobile has also made the publication more accessible to a larger number of readers. I’ve learned that access equates to growth. Because of our mobile app development, we have witnessed tremendous growth in our readership, downloads, and impressions.” Mission accomplished. Why did you decide to make an app, and why did you choose the Conduit Mobile platform? “I wanted to design an app that delivered localized content that my magazine readers would enjoy. I utilized the Conduit Mobile platform because it offered me maximum control without enduring the learning curve of brushing up on new code. The deployment and analytic s options were very alluring as well. After spending ample time engaging and learning the nuances of the Conduit Mobile dashboard, I decided to dive head first into the creation of my first app, Single Parents Helping Single Parents Mag.” And what a splash he’s made… Your favorite in-app feature? “I would have to say that the page that I favor the most in the Single Parents Helping Single Parents Mag app would have to be the home page. Ultimately, it’s an interactive news feed with countless possibilities. I often utilize this real estate for late breaking news updates, highlighting local musicians, notifying my users of special events in the area, and bringing awareness of the vast amount of locally owned business promotions in the area. I believe the news page rounds out the app. It’s not only the greeting page—it also connects and accentuates the diversity of the additional app pages.” What about user feedback? “I have received immense feedback in regard to the app. There have been accolades, and there have been suggestions for improvement. I believe improvement is a continuous endeavor, so I welcome all forms of feedback.” A humble, no-nonsense approach that has no doubt contributed to the man’s success. Any particularly popular features? “A large majority of my app users enjoy the news feed and embedded music player.” And how has your app boosted the magazine’s presence in the mobile world? “Mobile applications provide a dynamic level of dexterity for the creator and availability to the end user. With the Single Parents Helping Single Parents Mag app I am able to deliver new and exciting content to the readers of the Single Parents Helping Single Parents Magazine publication. I believe that experiencing Single Parents Helping Single Parents Mag on this level is organic and natural for the readers.” Well said, and it couldn’t be truer. Admit it—you want one too. Monroe County Legislature meets to advance Secondhand dealer legislation December 10 6pm

Sorry this is last minute notice but I found out today about this very important legislation that will affect thousands of mom and pop shops and your yard sales around Rochester and in Monroe County!  We are trying to get as many people to show up and make your voice herd on this abusive legislation.

The proposed law would require dealers to get a license from the county and would apply to any Monroe County community without preexisting ordinances regulating secondhand dealers. It’d also require dealers to photograph any item they purchase

Several times NY State legislative houses have tried almost the same law proposal and it failed. Why? It was an impossible law that was
1) not enforceable by police agencies
2) a burden to police agencies – in this case it would be the Sheriff’s department
3) poorly defined the people to be covered under the law
4) poorly defined the merchandise to be covered under the law
5) created undue financial burden on small business owners – in the current proposal that’s $250 per year
6) created impossible reporting requirements that would in effect make criminals out of the business owners who must report

Nothing has been resolved in the Monroe County proposal to fix any of these problems. It will not solve crime nor help in the recovery of stolen goods. It will cause businesses to close thereby affecting a net loss to retail sales tax coming into the county.

Anyone who sells “some old jewelry” will be affected by this proposal. It is imperative to speak to your county representative about the failings of the proposed law. And plan to attend the hearing on December 10 and speak to the Legislature.

They say those dusty shelves could contain that DVD player, Xbox 360 or digital camera that thieves took from your home.

Even though some mom and  shop owners say they don’t want to stock stolen merchandise, it often cannot be avoided. That’s why Rochester wants to make finding such loot easier by imposing more rules on second-hand stores.  But what is is going to do is put more regulation and burden on small business and essentially put people out of business who can not afford to pay the taxes and fees for having yard sales or flea market sales.

The rules would subject the stores to impromptu visits from police to see what goods they have. The businesses also would be required to ask people selling or pawning items to provide a state driver’s license or passport as identification.

Store owners also would face fines for not regularly reporting what merchandise they take in, or if they don’t ask for the required information from sellers.

Such changes will not only make the hunt for stolen goods harder, but also will help discourage stores owners from hiding hot merchandise under the nose of law enforcement.

“Right now we don’t have the ability to go in and take a look at these things,” said, the city police department‘s lead crime analyst, who requested the new ordinance. The City Council has discussed it, but has yet to vote on the measure.

“If stores are purchasing stolen property, they’re not going to record it,” Meehan said. “It limits our ability to follow up.”

Four second-hand dealers and a scrap yard currently fax to police lists of the items they purchase and the names and addresses of the sellers. Despite the ease of selling on the Internet, such stores still exist — and also often sell their wares online.

But the stores often accept other forms of picture ID, such as those used to obtain government assistance. And handwriting on faxes can be incomplete or illegible, Meehan said. A new e-mail system or Internet site will be devised to receive the information costing taxpayers more money to run big government bondage police.
